Bella & Farrah's Birthday PARTY!

This year we combined the girls birthday parties. Many of the same friends would be invited, and I have to say it was much easier to plan one rather than two parties! :) It was a Halloween costume party and my awesome aunt let us have it at her place, The Social Goat Bed & Breakfast. I swear, it's always the best weather every year there! October is such a great time of year anyway. And my aunt Kristy's place is just cool anyway - I hardly have to decorate at all.

We had pizza, made my first cake pops (with Mom & Chelsie's much-needed help), and a jumpy house. This along with the costumes and great weather made for a wonderful time. I think the kids were all successfully worn out, too! :) Thank you all who came and made such a great memory with us.

My little ghosts: (we used the flower girl dresses from Ryan & Melissa's wedding!) I learned at the party that adhesive felt doesn't stick great. It was a good warm up for Halloween!

Farrah's First Birthday Party

Farrah's Birthday Party was a "Pink Bear" Theme... (coming from the monthly pictures). The decorations came out just as I wanted them to, and the weather couldn't have been better! I had first envisioned a small family party, but then of course didn't want to jip Farrah of celebrating her first year like we did Bella! We had a great crowd - LOTS of family and just a few family/kids. But it was filled with people who LOVE Farrah for sure!!




The pictures above we staged after the party (after the table cloths were removed, etc.) I didn't get a picture of the cute food - cupcakes with chocolate bears on the top, pink rice krispie treats, cute cups, etc. We had chili and a few different snacks.
Oh! And then I found the perfect dress! A pink toile dress with bears on sale at Gymboree!

We enjoyed celebrating her first year! This party was so much fun to do. Thanks for all the family and friends who helped make the day special.

Halloween 2010

Morgan talks every year about wanting to have a Halloween party. This year, she finally did it! :) She always hosts so well and has lots of fun food and decorations. She didn't let us down this time, either!

Chris gets the comment that he looks like Finn from Glee.
And I have to agree, he kinda does!! So, I went with it.
(Or it might just be that I've always dreamed of breaking out in song many times in life)
It made for an easy costume for Chris (showing up in a striped shirt!). I was just going to get some general red cheerleading costume and be Quinn.

But I used my mom's obsessiveness to my advantage. She made this costume - isn't it awesome?



She also made this one for Morgan:


The party itself was so much fun! Morgan had us dancing outside under some cool lights all night. It was pretty cold (especially for the Flintstones with no shoes!) but we had a blast!!! Can't wait for next year!

I seriously don't know the last time I've laughed this much. It was such a fun time; one of those times where you know you'll keep the memories forever...

Bella's Birthday Celebration #2

...After a nap that same Saturday... Bella had another party. It was a combined party celebrating herself, Chelsie and Eden (Keegan's girlfriend). They all have birthday's in the beginning of October.




She enjoyed her LeapFrog laptop, her dollhouse, and the "Loving Family" dolls and car.



Funny... I have been searching online for a deal on dollhouse. And I kept telling myself I needed to go out and look. Then my mom was at Goodwill (and she is sooo good at finding the best things there!), called me and said there were a couple there. After sending me pictures of two - we went with a three story one for $15! I was pumped. I love a good deal almost more than anything! :) My grandmother just happened to buy the "Loving Family" dolls and mini-van because she thought it looked like the 4 of us. Little did we know, they are made to go with the Fisher Price house! She has loved playing with this at home. Score!

I love this... Farrah is taste testing Bella's gift. So thoughtful :)


After burgers and hot dogs, we sang to all three of them. And do what we most often do at get togethers - have photo sessions. Almost everyone in the family likes having their picture taken. Like, they ask for them! You know, to freshen up their Facebook. :) Which is great since Chris likes to take them. So, he was shouting, "Free photo portraits outside!"

We were even able to get a few of the four of us. :) It's funny how you forget to do that a lot of time! I have to be conscious of grabbing the camera and taking some of the photographer sometimes as well.
