iChat

From Spain
Very cool that we can talk and see each other 4000 miles away! Chris said, "It doesn't seem like I'm gone because we are able to chat on here!"
I somewhat agreed, except he couldn't help me today with a child who didn't want to take a nap (at all). So, he did a virtual diaper change for me. So sweet. Love you, daddy!

Chris left for Spain tonight. Not gonna lie, I already miss him! He's got another 6 hours left of traveling, and I hope he's getting some sleep right now.
Thanks to all of your for your monetary support of this trip! Spain and Buckhead Church appreciate it!!!

Heart-Melter

I'm in big, big trouble. I have now resigned myself to be the dad that puts a backpack leash on his kid. Sorry in advance, Bella. It's for your own good.

Spain Needs Your Money

From Sevilla, Spain

From Sevilla, Spain

Blog reader friends:
I've been asked by Buckhead Church to go to one of our partner churches in Sevilla, Spain (where Christopher Columbus was buried) to train their production crew how to run audio. Rough life. I know.

Cool story, though. This church used to meet under a tree! How cool is that? Now, they have all the technology, but need help learning how to master it.

By now, you're jumping off the couch yelling: "Chris, How can I help?"

I ain't pulling any punches. We need your cash! We are SO close to raising the money needed to make this trip happen, over $2,000. If you want to help, here's how...

Bloggin'

Hi folks. I just haven't been up to bloggin' lately, I don't know why. Well, my own blog, that is. I still read all of yalls! I'm thinking of taking a break, we'll see how long that lasts.
Bella is cute as ever. She had a little cold / runny nose this weekend. But we got lots of rest and I think we've recovered.
She's running all over the place now; loves to be chased. We bought some big girl shoes at Stride Right for the first time. She's growing too fast.
She helps around the house. It's amazing how much of what I say she understands. For example, closing the dishwasher, lay down, give this or that to dad/bandit/astro/mom, etc.
Basically, she's awesome.
If you've missed us, here are some pictures of what we've been doing a lot of lately:

Zoo - Second Home Lately

Well, if you've been sleeping under a rock, then you might not know that we live really close to the zoo. That's why you'll find us there on any given weekend where the temp. is over 50-degrees.

Bella is old enough now to enjoy the animals, especially...goats. Not the most exotic creatures at our lovely Atlanta Zoo, but she loves them. Hugging. Kissing. No worries. She doesn't hold back.

I'll shut-up and get to the pics. Maybe by the end of this long photo presentation, you'll feel like you went to the zoo with us. Maybe you should...holla.

Don't even think about getting on this thing with her, because she's a big girl now...

The conductor of the train, who by the way, pronounced the word "deaf," "deef," was kind enough to snap a family photo.

We tried to get her to say, "Chugga Chugga Chugga Chugga Choo Choo." I guess that's a little too advanced. She would just stare at me.

Loved her some goats. This is just before I ended her make-out session with it.

Here she is with her friend, The Hog.

Nothing to say here.

I'll tell you what she's thinking, based on her actions right after this pic..."Which one should I tackle and hug?"

Fierce.

For those at the zoo who thought she was a boy, here's your proof otherwise. She does NOT like to get her hands dirty. OOOOOOOEEEEEEEE!

She's amazing.

If I can just get her to brush her own hair...

My Girls

Just wanted to share this picture with you. My girls are beautiful. Took this one while at the Zoo Atlanta Petting Zoo. Who knew that while petting goats, I'd get a shot like this. More to come on our zoo visit tomorrow.

Date Night

Saturday we had a fun date night.
We've been so busy lately with life, and even though we know we shouldn't, I think we take date nights for granted. So I am voting for more of these.
We shared DeeDee with The Blossom's for babysitting. Coltan and Bella are so cute together. They were giving each other kisses and hugs! Check out some pics on their blog!
Chris and I took Phil Wickham and his road manager, Daniel, out to dinner. He lead worship at Buckhead today so was in town for the weekend. He was a cool guy.
We then met up with the Blossom's at Garrison's for dessert, drinks and great conversation! They are so easy to talk to. And it's cool to spend time with people in your same stage in life.
Chris joked that my blog has turned into a "mom blog". I guess that's what I do a lot of! But we are going to make an effort to do more dates and blog about that :)

Sliding at the Park

From The Park
We have lots of great playgrounds around the park. The closest is on our block, however, I haven't been much a fan of it in the past because it doesn't have swings. But, Bella has now mastered the slide by herself! Even crawling up to the top. It's the little things they do everyday to make you realize how fast they grow.
Another great thing about slides, STATIC HAIR! :)
