Splashing Around

We stopped at a fountain today to let the girls play. It was a little chilly, but they played for a bit. And they entertained us by running through the water for pictures. They have been so good tagging along with us as we move in one place and out of another. We try to remember to go have fun, too, in between all the "to-do" lists right now.

How fun are these pictures Chris captured?

Apple Picking (or Buying)

IMG_2809

A few weeks ago, we went up to to Elijay pick some apples. If any one is going soon, can you bring me home some more apples and I'll pay you!?!? I mean it - let me know!! We went through a bushel so much faster than I thought possible!!

We didn't actually pick very many. Many have already fallen, so we picked them at the market there. They also had lots of "fall farm" kid activities. Like pig races. ha. And who doesn't love a big jumpy pillow?!? And why don't they have these for adults?

Anyway - we are still here and enjoying our fall.

Gwinnett Braves Game

IMG_7042
These pics are from the Gwinnett Braves game we attended for Dave O's surprise 30th.
IMG_7046
I honestly saw ZERO baseball. We were too busy chasing this crazy around....

This was cracking me UP! Farrah would kamikaze down the hill. Stop, roll on her back, arch and give a smile, roll over, repeat... It may be hard to tell just how ridiculous it was; but funny.

This was the first time Bella has hit a ball off a tee. She did pretty well making contact...
IMG_7070
And if she missed, she didn't see a problem with hitting it the other way towards the people standing in line...
IMG_7074

I also was able to use their 4th of July outfits and claim to be team spirited :)

And, as always, I will end with something sweet about my husband. But oh my gosh, how HOT is he?!!? :)

Summer, New Grass, Sprinklers & Watermelon

Call me crazy, but I'd take the hot weather any day. i think I'm meant to live at the beach, actually. (can anyone talk Chris into that for me?) :)
We are excited for summer! Bella and I start her swim lessons next week!!
Along with the fun of new grass comes the ultimate summer fun - the sprinkler. Farrah was not so sure about it at first, but was soon running through it with sister.

Then Daddy came home and got the money shots!

Oh... and we love watermelon (or at least Bella and I do. Farrah likes to take a bite then spit it out?) At least she pretends well.

Spring Fling

IMG_4324
Saturday we went to our neighborhood Spring Fling, sponsored by the Parents Network (in the neighborhood). They were selling bagged lunches and homemade Popsicles from the Pop Shop - but every thing else was free! Egg hunts, the Easter Bunny, a jump house and a bubble machine. Our girls were in heaven.

We also saw so many families that we haven't seen since moving back. It was a fun day and led to great naps, too!

First was Farrah's age egg hunt.
IMG_4207
I love how she holds her little basket.
IMG_4201

Three eggs and she was satisfied.

Then Bella's.
IMG_4241
She liked to stop and see what each one had in it.
IMG_4256
And each time was just as thrilled as the last.
IMG_4261

The Easter Bunny's tail was pulled quite a few times (by Bella), but she also picked him a handful of dandelions, so I think he forgave her.

They also got tattoo's which Farrah sounds so adorable saying!
IMG_4221

Homemade Popsicles. I think mine was chocolate with ginger? It was spicy!

We also did a quick run to the playground. Farrah went down this slide by herself. We are not sure how she ended up in this position. But I don't think it felt good.

And... a couple of family shots :)

The "Green's" on St. Patrick's Day

IMG_3893
Along with the last name, I've inherited Chris' attitude towards St. Patrick's Day- I shouldn't have to wear the color green. ha! It helps to have this attitude when you don't have any green clothes clean on the day.
My girls, on the other hand, were in green and we enjoyed grocery shopping earlier in the day and pointing out all the green shirts.
When Chris arrived home, we checked out the Spring Festival on the Square. It was similar in set up to the Fall Festival. The weather was GREAT and the music was really good. But I can't help but think of Parks and Rec (the TV Show!) every time we go to one of the events in downtown Lawrenceville.

Anyhow, here are some cute pics that show just how big both of our GREEN girls are getting!!

Carousel

I took the girls to meet my grandparents at the mall last week. They had the good idea to let the girls ride the carousel. Grandparents and Great-Grandparents are so good. If I take them to the mall, I usually skip right past that :) We've ridden it, but not made a special trip to go ride it. Bella always loved it at the Zoo.
Of course, she wanted to ride the tea cup. Um, how old are we? I know I'm not the only one who gets sick riding those now. When does this happen??? I used to love roller coasters and now I'm an old woman.

So excited, she does a choke hold. jk. She actually would do this anytime.

Tea Cup

Do you notice my baby Farrah is getting HAIR?!?! She wore her first bow recently (meaning, without a headband!)
Side note: you know, last month, I had the girls in matching pink outfits (not these pictured, I'm obsessed with pink now) and someone said, "Awww... he's so cute. Boys can wear pink, too!" Seriously? Do you think I'd match my little boy to his big sister? Really? People.

Then there's my granddad. He's awesome.
