Friends and their babies...
Friday night, we met Kelly & Bobby, Morgan, Amanda & Dave at a local Mexican restaurant. (None of us are decisive, so we always end up with Mexican food - can't go wrong!) We're all spread out geographically, and with kids... it's hard to ever meet up like this. And some of us hadn't met each other's newest babies (Gavin and Amelie).
After dinner, we headed to Bruster's for some ice cream and over to the park to play. My, how our nights out have changed...

Reece
Please pray for little Reece and his parents.
His mom, Jennifer, and I grew up in church together. It's hard to read about sick babies, but they need our prayer! Thanks!!

words
Bella is a talking champ right now. I wanted to list some words, so that I remember as she grows. She can repeat most any word now, but these are the ones that she's saying on her own, to communicate with us! This is SUCH a fun age. Please stop growing so fast, Bella!!

Friends and Aquarium Visit
This weekend, our friends Kyle and Beth are visiting from Sarasota. They were like our college roommates during our first year of marriage. They weren't actually roommates, but next door neighbors in both of our first apartments, in both of our first years of marriage, in Atlanta, during such a fun time in life. We'd camp out together to watch tv (a.k.a. the show "Newlyweds". Beth was very sad to see Jessica and Nick break up.) Although we have visited them a few times since their big move, we had not seen each other in 2 years or met each other's kids! Aubrey is 10 months old and such a cutie!
Friday we went to the aquarium (Bella's first visit!) It was great to see them. It's always fun to see people you just click with, and for it to seem like no time has passed at all.

12 Week Appointment
.... went well. Baby's heartbeat was 167, and she/he was moving all around after the lemonade from Chick-fil-a. We took Bella to this appointment so she could see the ultrasound. But she didn't care, she just wanted to run around! But it was cool to see the doc today that delivered Bella.
This pic isn't great, but you can see the little hand by the face.
It's amazing that this little person is only about the size of a lime! I can't wait to start feeling the movements... and to put on some maternity clothes!! :) I love dresses in the summer!!
And no, I REALLY don't care if it's a boy or girl! REALLY. But I am excited to find out in about 8 more weeks or so. And I just feel blessed that we have a healthy baby forming. I am looking forward to holidays this year and just snuggling with Bella and a new baby!

Mother's Day weekend
We had a great Mother's Day weekend!
Friday, Chris planned a day of surprises for me. He and Bella took me to brunch at La Madeline. Then, he dropped me off at the spa!! I had a wonderful massage and facial. It was a great, relaxing gift and something I wouldn't buy myself.
Saturday, we visited Chris' parents, Poppy and GG, and Uncle Brian for mother's day. Sunday, we visited my parents for mother's day and birthday's (My dad's, mom's and aunt's!)
We are so thankful for our two wonderful mother's and what they mean to us. No gift to them could ever show them how much we love them! But we sure enjoyed hanging out with them.
Here are some pictures of the weekend. Remember, you can always click on any of them to see the rest from the weekend.
Taking a ride on the lawnmower:
Singing "The Wheels on the Bus" ("The mama on the bus goes "shhh shhh shhh")
Flirting with this little boy:
Ok, this is a terrible picture of me (I was sick all weekend, and look it) but it is a good pic of my mom and grandmother!
How cool is this shot Chris took? This is up in the ol' treehouse:
Her cute outfit. I swear she is getting so tall, getting so much hair... getting too old!
Bella and G-Diddy: The sign is funny, but I like the other next to the pool that says "We don't skinny-dip, we chunky-dunk!"
I love being a mom, and specifically, a mom to Bella. It's the best job in the world, and mother's day is just a reminder of that. And is just puts in perspective all our mom's did and do for us. It's a wonderful thing, and I wouldn't trade being a girl or being a mom for anything.
Hope all of you had an enjoyable Mother's Day!!
