Santa Comes to Town

(Chris writing)

Many of you now know about the amazing Santa that visited us from Bass Pro Shop to bring Christmas cheer to our family (if not, scroll down the page). Luckily, I had the presence of mind to capture most of the visit. I put a video together, so we can remember it forever.

Enjoy.

Dear Green Family,
Again I am amazed by your faith. Faith doesn't always come easy, and it can be trying to say the least. Words can't even come close to describe the beautiful faith you have maintained during this precious time in your lives. I feel blessed to have been witness to it. Thank you for being so transparent. Thank you for giving us a glimpse into your lives. My heart ached for you, my heart rejoiced for you, and this video made my heart do flips for you!!! I pray that God will bless you, as I know He has. I pray that He will comfort you in the days, weeks, and years to come as you look back and remember your time with Hallie. And I pray that He will reward you now and in heaven for your willingness to have faith even when it was incredibly hard to do so. God Bless you all!

LOVE this. My favorite is sweet Farrah's response - and the horror movie music was a nice touch. :) I love their sweet little dresses too! Katie, you'll have to tell me where you got those...

Hugs!

Simply beautiful. In a world where we see so much sadness, it is such a blessing to see such a gift as this...sweet, sweet Santa. What a treasured memory to always remind us to extend compassion and our gifts to others when we can.

Thank you for sharing this video, so precious.. Thank you for sharing your family with all of us. If I knew that Santa and his address I would personally send him a thank you note.. The picture may have showed Hallie in the arms of Santa that night, but I believe she was in the arms of Jesus.. Lisa from Dothan

I can only imagine how hard it must have been for you and Chris to keep it together and preserve some sense of Christmas normalcy for your sweet little girls who were so unaware of the magnitude of what your family was facing during that week. Thank you for sharing this precious video.

I cried my way through this, and I am praying for you guys continually.

What a beautiful service you had yesterday. I told Bryan that your family is doing a remarkable job of stewarding your trial, grief, and your precious Hallie. Thank you for turning your blessing and pain back to praise and for pointing us all to Jesus. Katie, I love how you said you're the luckiest mom in the world. That rings rings true for me, too. I regularly stand in awe that God would choose US to have Samuel in the way that I imagine you feel about Hallie.

I also wanted to tell you that on Dec. 23 around 11:00pm, my mom and I were sitting on the couch together, shedding tears for your family. I was crying for you and Chris, and my mom told me she was crying and praying specifically for your parents -- that she knows how horribly hard it is to watch her child hand her baby over to Jesus. We didn't know at the time that you were in the very processing of ushering Hallie into God's presence, but it's not surprising to me that God had us on our knees for you then.

I continue to pray and to thank God for Hallie. She truly is a blessing and always will be.
